Some stories begin with a spark, but ours began with a dance back in 2016 while on an outing with friends. However, life had its own timing and it wasn’t until 2020 that everything clicked when we reunited and spent hours talking, laughing, and connecting in a way that felt effortless and natural. That same week we went on our first date, and from that moment on, our lives intertwined. Making it official on January 22, 2021

But no great love story is without its challenges. In 2022, life threw us a curveball when Nico moved to the U.S. for an incredible opportunity, while Dani stayed in Bogotá to pursue her career. Overnight, our world became long-distance calls, time zone math, and counting down the days until we could reunite. It wasn’t easy, but every reunion—whether in Bogotá, New York, or somewhere in between—reminded us that the love we shared was worth every mile, every moment apart.

2023 was the year where the stars finally aligned and we began a new chapter—living together for the very first time in New York City. Our tiny apartment transformed into a sanctuary of laughter, late-night conversations, and dreams shared over coffee. Together, we started building not just a home but a foundation for the future we envisioned.

And then, on November 29, 2024, Nico made an unforgettable promise. During a Thanksgiving trip to Montauk, beneath the towering lighthouse and the crashing waves, he got down on one knee. The question hung in the air, filled with love and hope, and Dani—too stunned for words—blurted out, “Shut up!” before bursting into tears and saying a heartfelt “Yes!” That weekend was a whirlwind of magic, marking the beginning of forever.

Now, as we look ahead to September 20, 2025, we’re filled with gratitude for this incredible journey. From the laughter of our first dance to the quiet strength of long-distance love, every moment has brought us closer to this next chapter. No fue fácil, pero cada vez que nos reuníamos—ya fuera en Bogotá, Nueva York o en algún lugar intermedio—recordábamos que el amor que compartimos vale cada milla, cada momento separados.
